Breaking a contract with Goodlife Fitness?
Hi. I signed up with Goodlife Fitness with the promise that the manager would waive the “end of contract” fee plus she would low price flomax let me quit after 4 months. I would not have signed up with them without this, and she even left a note with my contract that I signed.
My account has been charged for the month OVER what my end day was supposed to be, and the branch refuses to answer my phone or email messages (always polite, just trying to get SOME HUMAN to call me).
Does anyone know how to get out of this contract with the end result being me not having to pay an extra 200$??? (99$ break fee, plus one month of fees).
Anything would be appreciated.
You’re basically out of luck. People who sell fitness club memberships are legendary for their sleaziness. They will say anything to take your money.
The only thing that might help you is that note you say you have. Do you have a lawyer? Probably not. There are 2 things you can do.
Contact the Ministry of Government Services, Consumer Protection Branch, and tell them everything.
Get a free legal consultation from some place like Parkdale Legal Services. If you don’t live in Parkdale, ask them where you can get free legal advice in your neighbourhood.
