Tucson Pole Fitness sounds ok – expensive though at $35.00 for an hour’s class.
I’ve never looked at prices before so for all I know that could be the norm. Providing the poles and a studio must be expensive.

Workout rings for adults on Santa Monica beach.?
I took a vacation to Santa Monica, California. While I was on the beach I noticed these fitness rings that people would swing on for a workout. There were about 5 rings hanging 6 or 7 feet off the ground in a but tricor online straight line (the rings were about 6 feet apart). People would swing from ring to ring and then turnaround and come back. I tried it and got a great workout and had a lot of fun. Do these “fitness rings” have a name? Are they located in any other parts of the US or world?

so, i cant find a bally, 24 hour fitness, or golds in vermont.
just wondering what is the equivalent of those in vermont. im moving there in a few weeks, and i want to make sure and have my gym in place beforehand.
im looking for a nice gym, creepy guys at a minimum… woman friendly! but guy friendly, too. (hubbys gotta work out too!)

What is the perfect midway point between Fort Lauderdale and Miami Airport?
I currently live in south beach, but will be travelling quite a bit out of both airports.. Its not so bad to Mia, but almost 25 miles to Fll airport.. i did a search and its 26 miles from FLL to Mia airport.. Im not really familiar with North Miami Beach or Aventura.. I would prefer to stay in Dade county, as opposed to Broward.. What is the
1)most central location to shopping, exact median between both airports,
2) close to the beach, would even consider beach front as long as its
3)not too far away from 95 and
4)not too far from any nightlife..
5) good shopping
6) good gyms- I belong to golds and ballys and even la fitness

Exact distance is less important than a livable neighborhood and easy access to transportation. The exact mid-point would be North Miami just off of I-95, an area that is divided between medium industrial & residential urban ghetto. Aventura may be the best option — it has everything you describe & you can practically bicycle to FLL & easy access via Miami Gardens Drive or Ives dairy Rd. to I-95 for the trip to MIA. If you want to be right on the Beach, just 5 min. over the causeway is Sunny Isles Beach.

What is the best 30 day fitness, training lose weight vacation in Thailand or ??
Im 32 and am looking for a training or fitness getaway. Cleansing, hiking and/or training. Need something challenging and intense, like a 30 day transformation to kick start myself. Not lazy and not looking for cooking classes or nutritional education. Any GOOD suggestions??

The best exercise you are going to get is to grab an 22 yo Thai girl, a bottle of Johnny Walker and head off to a quiet hotel in Phuket for 30 days. I guarantee you will come back exhausted!
Joking aside – because of the heat – Thailand is not good for some kinds of aerobic exercise. I’m a very keen runner but found Thailand too hot for running – I also got plagued by wild dogs. Ditto hiking. Apart from short walks I found the heat pretty tough. If you really want to do hiking your generic otc ranitidine best bet is to go up North to Chiang Mai or Chinag Rai – it’ll be cooler. Go in the cool season too.
I switched to a combination of open water swimming and gym and noticed significant gains.
The gym in my apartment complex was much better than anything I’d seen back home and was air-conditioned.
Swimming wise I used an outdoor pool or just swam in the sea. I found it safe to swim parallel to the shore. Don’t try that in Pattaya though, you’ll get cut to pieces by speed boats.
The other thing you should try is a traditional Thai massage – a proper one – not a hand job in some dump. I had one massage that completely removed a 10 year back problem I had. I can’t recommend a proper massage highly enough.
The other things I did were sea kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving. All highly recommended. If you aren’t PADI qualified the snorkelling is the next best thing.
Eat light, swim hard, get a younger willing companion and you will come back feeling like a new man!
