Just some P90X Questions?

I got a few questions about the P90X. First of all I’ve seen the infomercials and I’m pretty sure it works however I’ve seen that (No offense) obese people have started this program, however I heard you have to pass a fitness test in order to “survive” this program. now I’m not obese but I definitely have some fat on me. can this program be used by “ANYBODY” or do you already have to have an active looking body? Are the diet drinks aceon 4 mg and supplement vitamins absolutely necessary? I mean I’m not looking to become absolutely ripped so I’m wondering if it’s necessary.

and lastly any alternatives for the diet plan? I’m a lowly college kid and I cant’ afford most of the things needed to cook up a decent dietary meal.

I know this is alot of questions but any answers will be greatly appreciated. plus I’ll definitely choose a best answer

I met the minimum requirements for the fit test when I first started and completed P90x. I started out weighing 269lbs before P90x http://bit.ly/P90x_Progress. I never used P90x to get ripped like the commercials. I wanted to loose weight. So I believe anyone DETERMINED to get results can do P90x. It wasn’t pretty, but I got it done.

With nutrition – you don’t have to follow the guide. The idea is to toss out the junk food, eat lean proteins, veggies, and whole grains, and eat 5 times a day.

How to increase my pull ups?

I am training for SWCC. I have Stew Smiths ” The Complete Guide to Navy SEAL Fitness” Book.

I am a former wrestler. I am not TOTALLY out of shape, but not no way up to par with Spec Ops fitness.

I can only do 7 pull ups right now. Minimums are 6. I HATE doing minimum and want surpass it.

Anyone have any diet/fitness plans for me? 10 POINTS!!?

I need to lose some weight, especially around my middle (tummy, lovehandles) and my thighs. I read that Jessica Simpson or somebody lost 20 lbs in 20 days? Anyone know what diet/fitness plan she was on? I want to lose 3-10 lbs by Christmas? But really, I just would like to know what I can do to get rid of my tummy and muffin top. Any diet/fitness plans? Why do outdoors, full-body workouts seem so much more effective than what can be done in a cramped gym?

My 25 mg paxil Planet Fitness is pretty tightly packed, but I use it over the winter as I can’t exercise outdoors due to cold-induced asthma. But, even though I log a lot of miles on the treadmill and use all the weights, it’s not nearly as good as what I can do at the local running track, that has a bunch of pullup, pushup, etc. bars and such. Why can’t a gym just have that type stuff as opposed to lots of machines?

I’m not a fan of gyms because it seems you spend a lot of time standing around waiting for weights or machines. I have a membership at my local rec center ($60/year) plus I do a lot of running outside. There’s no one really watching you and the fresh air is great. Another suggestion is a cross-fit gym. They will work you over in 15 minutes and you’ll be feeling it for days. They focus on using several muscle groups (push ups, weighted sprints, lunges, air aquats, burpees) so there’s less risks of tears and injuries, as opposed to doing 3 sets of 12 bicep curls.
