bike kids out there: i am getting a new bike wat should i get?

i am looking to get either a mountain bike or a hybrid, i like gt’s, mongooses and giants
just for casual riding to friends places and taking the odd short cut through the bush and also for fitness riding ocassionally

if it meens anything i am 6 foot 3 in height
plz sugest any models of bike u would recomend for me
